Who we are
AUTOFIX SERVICES LTD., a company registered in Scotland and trading as AUTOFIX, is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. Our company details are on our Legal information page. For any privacy question or request, email support@autofixservices.shop.
This policy explains how we handle personal data under the UK General Data Protection Regulation, the Data Protection Act 2018 and, for customers in the European Economic Area, the EU General Data Protection Regulation.
What we collect

Why we use it and our lawful basis

We do not currently send marketing emails. If we introduce them, we will only send them with your consent, and you will be able to unsubscribe at any time. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.
Who we share it with
- Suppliers and fulfilment partners who pack and ship your order receive your name, delivery address, phone number (if given) and the items ordered.
- Carriers and postal services receive the details needed to deliver your parcel and to clear customs.
- Payment processors handle your payment and fraud checks. They act under their own privacy policies as independent controllers for some purposes.
- Service providers who host our website and email, under contracts that require them to protect your data.
- Professional advisers and authorities (such as accountants, HMRC or courts) where required by law.
International transfers
Some suppliers, carriers and service providers are located outside the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area, including in Asia and the United States, because that is where the goods are stored and shipped from. Where we transfer personal data to a country without an adequacy decision, we use appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, and we share only what is needed to deliver your order. You can ask us for more information about these safeguards.
How long we keep it
- Order, payment and accounting records: six years after the end of the financial year of the order, to meet tax and accounting rules.
- Customer service emails: up to two years after the matter is closed.
- Accounts: until you ask us to delete your account, after which order records are kept as above.
- Server logs and security data: up to 90 days.
Your rights
You have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected, to have it erased, to restrict or object to our use of it, and to data portability. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To use any of these rights, email support@autofixservices.shop. We will reply within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity.
You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113) or, if you live in the European Economic Area, to the data protection authority in your country. We would appreciate the chance to deal with your concern first.

Security
Our website uses HTTPS encryption. Access to personal data is limited to people who need it to run the store. Payment details are handled by our payment processors on their secure systems.
Children
Our website is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

We may update this policy. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
