Returns & refunds policy

Your 14-day right to cancel, our 30-day returns window for unused items, faulty goods, refunds and how to send something back.

In short: you can cancel within 14 days of delivery for any reason, and we accept unused items back within 30 days of delivery. Faulty, damaged or incorrect items are always our responsibility. Refunds go back to your original payment method within 14 days.

Your 14-day right to cancel

If you are a consumer, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days without giving any reason. This right comes from the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 in the United Kingdom and from equivalent consumer law in the European Union.

  • The cancellation period ends 14 days after the day you (or someone you nominate) receive the goods. If your order arrives in several parcels, it ends 14 days after the last parcel arrives.
  • To cancel, tell us clearly by email to support@autofixservices.shop. You can use the model cancellation form below, but you do not have to.
  • You must send the goods back within 14 days of telling us you are cancelling.

Our 30-day returns window

On top of your legal right to cancel, we accept unused items in their original condition back for a refund if you contact us within 30 days of delivery. This extra period is our own policy and does not reduce your statutory rights.

How to return an item

  1. Email support@autofixservices.shop with your order number and the items you want to return.
  2. We reply within one business day with the return address and instructions. Returns go to the address we give you, which may be a returns point in the UK or a supplier address. Please do not send items to our registered office.
  3. Pack the items securely, ideally in their original packaging, and keep proof of postage.

Return costs

  • Change of mind: you pay the cost of sending the item back. We recommend a tracked service. Because items may need to go back to a supplier address, return postage can be higher than the original shipping cost; we will tell you the return address before you send anything so you can check the cost.
  • Faulty, damaged or incorrect items: we cover the return cost, or we may ask you to keep the item and send a photo instead.

Refunds

  • We refund within 14 days of receiving the goods back, or of you giving us proof that you have sent them, whichever is earlier.
  • If you cancel your whole order within the 14-day cancellation period, we also refund the standard delivery cost you paid. If you chose a more expensive delivery option, we refund the cost of our standard option only.
  • Refunds are made to your original payment method, in the currency you paid. We do not charge a fee for refunds. Your bank may apply its own exchange rate if your card is in another currency.
  • We may reduce a refund to reflect any loss in value caused by handling the goods more than was necessary to check them, as you would in a shop. For example, a floor mat or boot liner that has been trimmed to size, or an item that has been fitted and used, may be refunded at a reduced amount or not at all for change-of-mind returns. This never applies to faulty items.

Faulty, damaged or incorrect items

Everything we sell must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, if an item is faulty you are entitled to:

  • reject it and get a full refund within 30 days of delivery;
  • after 30 days, a repair or replacement, and if that is not possible or does not fix the problem, a price reduction or a refund.

If you live in the European Union, the mandatory legal guarantee of conformity in your country also applies. Please email us with your order number and a photo or short video of the problem. We will not ask you to pay for returning a faulty item.

Items that cannot be returned for change of mind

  • Items that have been trimmed, altered or damaged after delivery (unless they were faulty).
  • Used microfibre, wash mitts and brushes, for hygiene reasons, once they have been used and are no longer in their original condition.

These exceptions do not affect your rights for faulty or incorrect items.

Time limits for court action

Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not limited to a fixed number of years. Separately, under the Prescription and Limitation (Scotland) Act 1973, a claim in the Scottish courts must generally be raised within five years. In England and Wales the equivalent period is six years. This is the period for bringing a claim; it is not a warranty period. Whether goods should still be of satisfactory quality after a given time depends on the type of goods, their price and what was said about them when you bought them.
